Champion Trees and Old Growth Forests –
A Rhode Island 'Expedition' with “The Tree People”

Named a Preservationist of the Decade by Yankee Magazine, Matthew ‘Twig’ Largess and fellow Treehugger and co-host, Daryl "Arrowwood" Ward lead the way into – and out of – the forest!

Walk among the giants! Examine riparian exemplars. Take the measure of urban champions and gaze up into ancient canopies – all right here Rhode Island.

This 'expedition' brings you to magnificent old growth forests and champion trees in urban, suburban and wilderness environments. With more than 25 years of coast-to-coast forestry experience, ‘Twig’ maintains a magical sense of wonder, and brings a wealth of knowledge to his lectures and stories.

‘Twig’ makes every tree memorable, every forest unforgettable. You may want to bring your GPS, camera and binoculars for this great outdoor adventure. Suitable for every level of interest and expertise.
